I’ve had the privilege to speak with so many of you around the world, and there’s one thing I want you to hold onto through the whole process. Keep the big picture in front of you.

Yes, the details matter. The halacha, the practices, the day to day. That’s how we bring Judaism into real life.

But don’t lose the center.

Hillel said it simply. What is hateful to you, don’t do to others. The rest is commentary, now go and learn.

You’re joining a people, a relationship with God, a life built on love, responsibility, and connection.

Sometimes the process can feel heavy, technical, even overwhelming. Stay anchored in why you’re here.

The details are expressions of something much bigger.

And if something feels discouraging along the way, come back to that. You’re moving closer to God, closer to your place in this story.
