Jerusalem is the center of the Jewish soul. 💍

The Chasidic masters teach [Reb Shlomo in the name of Reb Shaul Yedidya of Modzitz] that when the Torah says "when you go to the land I will give you" — it doesn't just mean a place. It means אֲנִי — your I. Your center. Your soul.

Jerusalem is the מֶרְכָּז — the center of the Jewish Neshama.

Just being there is a download. A spiritual charging station. The antenna goes up and you get closer to what Hashem dreams for you.

Just like Shabbat is the center of time — Yerushalayim is the center of place.

On Yom Yerushalayim we celebrate the day the Holy City returned to our hearts. And we pray that one day it becomes בֵּית תְּפִלָּה לְכָל הָעַמִּים — a house of prayer for all people. For every soul to come and charge itself up.
