The Spiritual Power of the Olympic Games

B"H

There’s something intense about watching Olympic competition. Years of discipline and devotion come down to one moment. All the practice funnels into performance. You have to meet the moment fully. No hiding. No shortcuts.

That feeling maps onto a deep Jewish idea: yirat shamayim. Not fear as dread, but the awareness that every moment matters. That life keeps placing us on the stage, asking us to show up with presence, effort, and integrity. Not with anxiety or paralysis, but with fire. What would it look like to bring that Olympic-level focus into our relationships, our work, our choices? To meet the moment and give it our best.
